This place is one of Oxnard's best kept secrets. Featured in the LA Times some years ago ( look for the article on the wall in the restaurant), this little hole-the- wall restaurant on Oxnard Blvd. has some of the best rotissierie style chicken you will ever taste. Been to Mexico and eaten Pollo Feliz? Well, it is along these lines. Succulent, delicious kind of tandoori chicken. The recipe is a secret!!! Tri- trip is great, too. For a different type of picnic, pick up a couple of chickens, beans, salsa and tortillas and head to nearby beaches. Selection of soft drinks and Mexican beers available. For the dessert, they offer a pretty decent flan!

The best-made fresh with frijolitos de la holla.

Meat is cooked to perfection with a smoky flavor. Cuts are really good as well as portions. A little pricey, but a must try at least once. Definitely not to be confused with El Pollo Loco.

Been coming here since I was a kid. Food was great as always. But the definitely have to do something about the lack of parking options.

Always good bbq chicken and tri-tip no matter the day of the week. My family and I enjoy the family style with both chicken and tri-tip, pinto beans, rice, salsa and totillas.

I have been coming here for over 20 years. Can't go wrong with the tri tip burrito ( my favorite) . It is a family run place that serve great food. The salsa is spicy with a little kick but not going to set your mouth on fire for the rest of the day. The staff is friendly and the service was quick.

Really good food, tri tip and chicken with tortillas and some whole pinto beans. Great meal with not a lot of sugar.

I recommend one of the plates. Either chicken or tri tip or half of each. You can't go wrong with that. It's not like your typical Mexican food place. They keep it simple and extraordinarily delicious! Try it once and I guarantee you'll be back.
